Dynabook AC Adapter Replacement Program

Recall of AC Adapters that have affected DC-in Plugs Used in Certain Toshiba-branded Laptops

On February 21, 2024 Dynabook announced an expansion of its previous voluntary recall of certain DC-in plugs used in some AC adapters launched in June of 2018 (“June 2018 Recall”) due to a potential burn hazard. This expanded recall affects additional DC-in Plugs and AC adapters used with certain Toshiba branded laptops sold between April 2008 and April 2014.
Dynabook sold the affected DC-in plug as a part of AC adapters manufactured from April 2008 to December 2012 included with Toshiba-branded laptops and as accessories or with replacement AC adapters during repair.
Dynabook is offering a free AC adapter replacement for ones with the affected DC-in plugs.

In this time, the program is expanding the model number range and their manufacturing period of recalled AC adapters which were announced on June 22, 2018.
Customers who previously checked and determined that their AC adapter was not affected by the June 2018 Recall must now re-check their AC adapter.

If your AC adapter’s DC-in plug is subject to Dynabook's recall program, Dynabook recommends you turn off the laptop and unplug the AC adapter immediately.
Dynabook encourages all customers affected by this recall to contact Dynabook for a free replacement.
